Dear
Fellow Laborers,

Kolya Gets Saved :)
We have been working with Kolya for quite some time. Kolya has been over to our house 50+ times mostly wanting to talk about football while his friend would teach our son, Alex, the Russian language. I witnessed to him the second time he came to our house, and since then tried to be there when he would have questions about the Bible. As I have said before, he was very apprehensive to talk about religion. Well, Kolya instant messages me a lot over the internet. He always has a lot of questions that never seemed to have much to do with salvation, although they were about different religions. I asked him what was stopping him from getting saved. This time he said, “nothing”, as if he had been waiting all along for me to ask him this question. He did actually have a couple more questions but after two hours of talking, Kolya prayed to accept Christ. When I asked him after he got saved, where he would be after he died, and I saw, “в Раю” (in Heaven) on the screen, I popped out of my seat and told the whole house. When I congratulated him, he sent one of those emoticon things :). Where as before, he was unwilling to meet with me for regular discipleship, now we have started it. I am praying that Kolya will be the first of much fruit from the “football ministry”.
Witnessed to Artyom
We have a guy on the football team that just lost a close friend to a motorcycle accident. He also wrote to me on ICQ (instant messaging program) and wanted to talk. I met with him thirty minutes before practice and I told him how I deal with it when people die. I told him that many of the people I know in the world are Christians who are guaranteed Heaven. Then I told him why I know for sure that when I die, my friends and family won’t have to cry, but can rejoice knowing where I am. In other words, why I know I am on my way to Heaven. Artyom thanked me for talking to him, and said, “He was proud to have me for a coach.” He did not get saved, but he did listen, and I was very glad to be there so that at an open moment in his life, he could here something true, instead something false.
Building Progress
I got ahead of myself in the last prayer letter saying we would get started last month with construction again. It was more like we are getting prepared for construction. I already have a small shed to store tools, but it was not big enough to fit all the materials we needed, so we will be storing them in the basement we have built already. Therefore we needed to install a metal door and stairs to get into the basement. We also need to even out the land around the building. After this, we will be collecting all the materials needed and proceeding with construction.

I am going to keep our budget in the email version of our prayer letter. Things will change on it from time to time as the ruble goes up and down and we find cheaper ways to do things. Some costs could go up, as I discover new things that are required. I hope this helps you pray for us, we are excited to be so close to having our own meeting place.
Yours
in Christ,
