Dear
Fellow Laborers,
February
2005
Praise
the Lord for the exciting things He is doing in Russia!

Ice
Castles are the pride of Ekaterinburg and win prizes every year.
Two
More Survey Trips Completed
Have
you ever been on a plane before where water leaked into the cabin?
Neither had I, and I praise the Lord for his protection during
my survey trips to Ekaterinburg and Samara. There are a few large
cities left in Russia that do not have a fundamental witness,
among them are Volgograd, Ekaterinburg, and Samara. These cities
that span the south, center, and far east of European Russia are
the ones I targeted to survey. Ekaterinburg has a population of
2 million souls and is one of the most developed cities in Russia.
On every street corner there is a building being built or renovated.
The local government seems to value freedom, but the local Russian
Orthodox church there is one of the most aggressive against missionary
work. At the showing of a evangelistic film, they protested with
banners, and even entered the buildings to disrupt the event.
They yelled and called names during the whole presentation.

This
is the Drama Theater in Samara and is one of it’s oldest
buildings.
Samara
is almost as developmented as Ekaterinburg, although it looks
like they had less to begin with. This city has 1 million 300
thousand souls and many of the same good points as Ekaterinburg
relating to governmental freedom to preach the Gospel. People
are moving there and the city is growing.
This
is a state of the art train station in Samara.
The
Lord Calls Us to Samara
After praying about the options that the Lord would want us to
pursue, the two large factors in our decision were the facts that
the persecution from the Russian Orthodox church in Samara seems
to be on a very small scale. Secondly, the property there is cheaper
and more conducive to future development. We are now in the process
of getting new visas for our travel there and will fly there on
March 5th. We are sending most of our belongings by train February
25th. Please pray for safety and guidance during this time.

Danu
and Geoffrey accepted Christ this month.
Two
College Students Get Saved
Geoffrey
and Danu received Christ this month, praise the Lord. Geoffrey
has been attending our Bible study from the beginning, but is
from a Catholic background. Danu started coming at the beginning
of this school year. Please pray that they will continue to follow
the Lord and witness to their friends.
Yours
in Christ,
Adam, Angela, and Alex

S. As always I would like to thank all of our supports. Without
