We Have a Part in Seeing
Five People Baptized this Month
We had six people baptized this month at our church picnic. My wife and I led Raj and Delani to Christ personally. Anya was saved after studying lessons used by our youth group and Anya’s brother Sasha was saved soon after that. Shenya who is not pictured, committed but then backed out of being baptized the first time I talked to him about it. Praise the Lord this time he fulfilled his commitment and was baptized.

One of our Students Beaten
During the national holidays here, there is a rise in national pride, but unfortunately accompanied with this is a rise of crime against foreigners. When I saw Victor at our Bible study with the medical students, I automatically assumed he had fallen, and that was why he had these scars on his face. It did not even occur to me to think anything else. Honestly, I tried to make a joke about it. What he said next stunned me. Victor told me hooligans had beat him with sticks and chains. If it was not for a Russian passer-by who pulled a crowbar out of his car, and began swinging at the crowd, Victor could have been much more seriously injured. Please pray for safety here for these students. There has been two students from the medical university killed in the past two years (one thrown in front of a subway car) by groups like this. Victor kept a great testimony during this trial and simply praised God for His protection of him.

Entire Graduating Class
My family and I had the honor of attending the graduation ceremonies for five of our faithful students in our Bible study. Raj, the initiator of our study, in front of the entire graduating class (many Muslims and Hindus) thanked God openly as he delivered one of the graduation speeches.

I will be running the ministry here completely during the month of July. Please pray for God’s blessing here as Bro. Charters is in America.
