Dear
Fellow Laborers,
June
2006
Praise
the Lord for the exciting things He is doing in Russia!
We
are praising the Lord for Dimitri’s salvation
While
door knocking next to our office we have met with many people
who the Holy Spirit is convicting of sin, none more so than Dimitri.
Dimitri is a 16 year who was more than ready to admit that his
life did not match up with God’s perfect law. When confronted
with his sin Dimitri asked Christ to forgive him. Please pray
concerning this new convert. Pressure from parents to renounce
decisions concerning Christ can be very great. Please also pray
for a 32 year man named Alexsei. While not being saved yet, he
showed some sincere concern for his soul, and seemed to understand
the Gospel. Also pray for Gulya who is a clerk at a convenience
store that I handed a tract to. After following up on it, she
told me that she was interested in what it had to say.
Still
have not received stamp for residency
WWhile
Moscow has approved our request for residency, it is still undecided
whether or not we will receive our stamp before our current visa
is up and we have to leave the country again. We found out last
week that there is still one document that we need to obtain in
order to get our stamps from our regional passport agency. The
problem is we must get this document from our local passport desk,
and in the past they have not been very helpful. We seem to have
been caught in a turf battle between bureaucrats. While the regional
office has been very professional and helpful, the local office
has resented the regional offices interest in our case. The Lord
knows all of this and I believe He can resolve this situation.
Please pray that everything will be completed before July 27th,
when our current visas end. If not we would have to leave the
country again for a couple of weeks, which would be very expensive
and difficult. We are willing to do what ever it takes and are
depending on the Lord to provide.
Trip
to America Postponed
We
were planning on making it back to America for a very short furlough
to be at the 20th year anniversary of our home church. With our
residency situation still undecided, we believe it would not be
wise to make the trip at this time. As soon as our situation here
stabilizes, we will let our supporting churches know when they
can expect us to come and report about how the Lord is blessing
here in Russia.
Prayer
Requests
• Stamps for residency to be completed by June 27.
• Dimitri to be faithful under persecution.
• Salvation for Alexsei, Lyudmilla and Vasilye, Misha and
Marina, Oleg and Lena.
Yours
in Christ,
Adam, Angela, Alex, and Amelia
