Education of Future Pastors

There is a great need to train Russian national men for the ministry. The perfect situation to do this is in a local church setting, under a Russian independent Baptist Pastor, whom God is blessing mightily. The problem is that at this stage of church development in Russia, we do not have anything that meets this criteria. Therefore, we need an interim solution. A small group of independent Baptist missionaries have begun working together to create a Bible college curriculum. This curriculum will be used by each local church to train their own future Pastors. This would be a massive job for one missionary to take on alone, but it is manageable with a small group. For this reason, we have decided to participate in the creation of this curriculum.

Conference in St. Petersburg

This month I went to a conference for a time of fellowship, to work out many details of our partnership to create a curriculum, and a time of preaching with other independent Baptists. The Lord blessed has we were able to share methods we use for evangelism. We then demonstrated these methods as we went out on the streets to go soul-winning.

Updates on Converts

Gulya who made a profession of faith last month has not yet accepted an invitation to fellowship with us at our house. She is very cautious in her relationship with us. Zulya has missed the last two times of Bible study. Pray that she will continue meeting with us.
