Praise the Lord for the exciting things He is doing in Russia!

 

Soul-Winning Update

We had another person saved this month. Her name is Katya and she is a 22 year old mother of one. I witnessed to her next to a university and although she did not get saved on the spot, when I called her later, she said that she had prayed to accept Christ. We rejoice with her about her decision. She works full time, and then has to take care of her child on her own. We are trying to work out a time when she can meet with us for Bible study. Please pray that she will be able to meet with us and that she would grow in Christ.
Inna, who I told you about in our last prayer letter is doing well, coming faithfully to Bible study and bringing her 6 year old son, Dima. Please pray for her husband, Alexsei, to be saved. We are inviting them over to our house this week for lunch and are praying that he will accept.
Alexander is doing well, being faithful to bible study. His friend Anya is working at a summer camp, so neither of us has been able to find out if she got saved, please pray for her in this. Alexander himself is going out of town also to work at a summer camp for the month of August, please pray with us that he will continue to be faithful.
In our regular prayer requests we list Misha and Marina who are friends of ours but not yet saved. Misha’s mother has recently become very ill and is not expected to live much longer. I was able to spend some time with her and explain about the hope I have after death, and that she to could have that same hope. I prayed with her and our hope is that through this time our friends will become more sensitive to spiritual things and get saved.

Possesing the Land

About a 3 months ago, I noticed that someone had dug a large hole on our property that we purchased when we first got here. Apparently, someone had come a while ago and started to build illegally on my land and the neighboring property. My neighbors noticed right away and called the police. The person left and everybody thought that was the end of it. A couple of weeks ago, this person has returned and is trying to build again. We are not very worried about this, we have a title deed, registered with the regional land-survey office, there is no question about ownership. Our lawyer should be returning July 10th, at which time we hope to have everything settled.
