We
praise the Lord for the safe delivery of Alisa May Young, born
August 12th. She was twenty-two inches long and about eight and
half pounds. Angela was due on the 23rd but the baby arrived about
ten days earlier. Angela’s parents and her younger sister
Allegra came over to help us out during the delivery, and it was
great to see them. They were a great encouragement to us. This
was the first time Angela had delivered in Russia, but praise
the Lord there were no complications. The place that we found
to deliver was very nice and the staff was very helpful. Thank
you for your prayers.

Both
Angela and our brand-new baby girl Alisa May ready for Sunday
morning church.
Documents
Turned in for Permanent Residency
Turning
in our documents reminded me of how blessed we are in America.
The lines at our local office have improved but the government
workers still only see about half of the 45 people in line. In
order to get a spot at the head of the list, people are having
to show up earlier and earlier. I came at 11 p.m. the night before
the office opened to save a place, only to find out I was 31st
in line (usually only 20-25 people get in). The people at the
beginning of the line had saved their place two days earlier.
We turned in everything, only to have the government worker tell
us to write everything over again (everything must be filled out
by hand without any mistakes in pen). Our lawyer did as requested
and we turned everything in a second time. This time everything
was in order but we were called a few days later and told we needed
to bring another document, so we did. Praise the Lord they let
me in with out having to wait in line. Then a government worker
came to our house to tell us that our local government office
had put the wrong stamp on everything and we needed to write everything
over yet again. We did as we were told, and they let us turn things
into our regional office which is much more professional and there
are very few in line. The government worker there was very polite,
but told us some other things we needed and then we got those
as well. She said that we can expect an answer to come within
four to six months. Please pray with us that we will have no problems
with this last step in establishing our presence here.
