God Brings Things Full Circle for Salvation
We were at a church in Oregon for their 12th anniversary when the Lord provided us with a great soul-winning opportunity. Shortly after the church was started 12 years ago, they saw a young women saved who had been coming to the church off and on. She married a man that was not saved yet, and she had not been to church for a bit after that. They both came for the anniversary service and this would be how God would bring things full circle. I did not know any of this that day. A man came up to my table after the service and I started to talk with him. He said that he had only been to the church a couple of times before. I felt compelled to talk to him about Christ. We went into a nursery so there would be no distractions and Brett listened very intently. God was in it, and Brett got saved that very day. Later I found out that everyone was praying that Brett would get saved. Praise God for Brett’s salvation.
Traveling All Over the Place
This month we have seen 13 churches all over the western United States. We have been in Utah, Idaho, Colorado, Washington, Northern California, and British Columbia. Next month we will see a couple of new churches, but for this last month everyone we saw already supports us. Every time we come back from Russia, we are always surprised by the hospitality and warmth of the many churches that support us. We sometimes forget how kind people can be. We must have the greatest supporting churches in all the world. Thank you to all the Pastors and church members who always do so much to help us.
The Skunk
I hesitate to share this because the people involved were some of the nicest people in the world, but it wasn’t anybody’s fault and the story is pretty funny. While at a church, we were staying with a wonderful family that just went out of their way to be a blessing. When their dog accidently got out, he was sprayed by a skunk. The dog ran in the house and before anyone even knew it happened, the dog rubbed himself all over the house. I, not very wisely, then opened the door to our room. The dog rushed under our bed and rubbed himself in our room. The next day we did not smell anything and thought that the episode was finished, that was until I preached a chapel service that morning. When I walked in people said, “I smell a skunk, where could that be coming from?” It was then I realized that the smell might take longer to disappear.
Yours
in Christ,
