Dear
Fellow Laborers,
August 2009
Praise the Lord for the exciting things that are happening in Russia!
Quarterback Hears About Christ
Kolya was very responsive to the Gospel but has not yet made a decision. He called soon after I witnessed to him, and said that he wanted to bring a friend over to our house so that I could also talk to him about “faith”. We scheduled it, but unfortunately a couple of hours before we were suppose to have him over, Kolya said they would not be able to come. Please pray for Kolya and the rest of the football team that they will be saved.
Building Permit Received
Although this took much longer than we thought it was going to take, God’s timing is perfect and we still have time to get done what we had planned for this year. This permit was signed by the mayor of Samara himself. Samara is a big city with 1.3 million people in it. This was really the last bureaucratic hurdle that I could see hindering our building program. Now we need wisdom getting the right people to help us build the right things. About a month and a half ago, we had selected a contractor to do our foundation. Then we met with him after I got our permit and everything he had said changed for the worse. Prices were up, and accountability was down. We quickly found two new contractors. Please pray that the price will be within our budget and that they will do a good job.

This is the signature of the mayor of Samara (1.3 million people) on our building permit that allows us to begin building. God is Good.
Help from West Coast Baptist College
This last month we had a student come from West Coast Baptist College, Brandyn Knight. He stayed with us for 3 and a half weeks. The type of visa that we were able to get him, limited his activities. However, he was able to help us a great deal with the grunt work of clearing our land of trees and brush and getting it ready to build. He was a great blessing and we were very thankful that he got the chance to come. Please pray for him as he feels that the Lord would have him serve in the land of Russia.
Yours
in Christ,
Adam, Angela, Alex, Amelia, Alisa, and Austin
