Maxcim the Firefighter Gets Saved

Maxcim considered himself a good person, but when we began to consider the righteous standard of God’s law, he found himself not measuring up to God’s perfection. He then asked a question, “What if I saved people’s lives from burning buildings? Would that be good enough to get me in to Heaven?” Maxcim, as it would turn out, was a firefighter. I thanked him for his community service, but told him also that people don’t get to Heaven by “works of righteousness” but by faith alone. Praise the Lord Maxcim trusted Christ..

Foundation Done

We have completed the foundation for our house/church. It was a great feeling to get started and see this phase completed for the glory of God. Here are some pictures so that you can see the progress.

This was what we put on the floor of the hole. It is a large footing for the concrete walls of the foundation that will be made by those large blocks you see in the middle.

Here you can see a little of the scope of the project. The great thing about having this basement space is that in the future it could come in very handy for an expanding church family.

Here you can see people laying bricks. This will provide for some head room in the basement making the space useable and also making the floor totally level.

These concrete panels need a crane to lift them into place. They are prefabricated with lots of rebar and are built so that they can support a great deal of weight. Each one of these panels can support 800 kg (1763 lbs) of weight for every square meter of area.
