Dear
Fellow Laborers,
October
2004
Praise
the Lord for the exciting things He is doing in Russia!

Angela
on Tuesday night evangelism reaches out to the lost.
Progress
in our Future Moving Plans
Thank
you for praying for an organization to invite us to the south
of Russia. We found a lawyer here who has already moved one family
down from St. Petersburg to the south of Russia. Please pray for
wisdom in buying an apartment, and for permanent residence visas
as soon as possible.

George
and Michael make the decision to get baptized.
Two
Medical Students follow the Lord
in Believers Baptism
You
might recognize both George and Michael from our last prayer letter.
Michael was saved last month. George has become faithful to discipleship.
These two individuals became the first two people I have personally
baptized. What a joy to see their stand for Christ.
Harvest
Sunday everyone enjoys bringing the fruit of God’s blessings.
Old
and Young Folks Get Saved
When
Nadeshda introduced herself to me after one of our services she
said, “I like you people, but I’m not getting baptized,
I can’t betray my native faith!” Right away she was
very wary of us, and worried about whether or not we were a “sect”.
We invited her over to our home along with the regular attender
of our church who had invited her. We talked with Lyubof and Nadeshda
for around three hours. Both Lyubof and I were trying to get Nadeshda
to understand her need for Christ. She had many questions. “Why
don’t you wear crosses around your neck, I thought all believers
did that? Why do you baptize people again, isn’t once enough?”
She also had many stories about when she was a factory manager
in the times of Soviet power. God answered everyone of her questions
from His word and she accepted Christ. As she left she said, “Well,
it looks like I’ll be seeing you in Heaven.” I also
had the privilege of leading a teenager to Christ named Dalia.
Please pray for both of them to grow in the Lord.

Pray
for God’s will for our young people as they seek to serve
the Lord.
Preaching
about God’s Will
Vika
had committed to get baptized, but her mother was not sure that
she was ready. It is common for people here not to get baptized
until they are 16. This can be an obstacle that hinders teens
from following the Lord. Please pray for some of our parents in
this regard. I am preaching a final series on finding God’s
will. Please pray for the hope of the next generation here, as
our young people seek to follow God.
Yours
in Christ,
Adam, Angela, and Alex
